Let’s SAVE BIRDS #Oriental Magpie Robin

Oriental Magpie-Robin…Let’s SAVE BIRDS

The oriental magpie-robin (Copsychus saularis) is a small passerine bird considered an Old World flycatcher.

They are distinctive black and white birds with a long tail that is held upright as they forage on the ground or perch conspicuously.

Occurring across most of the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia, they are common birds in urban gardens as well as forests.

They are particularly well known for their songs and were once popular as cagebirds.

A cute singing bird….

I am sure many of us still remember the “Logo of Robin’s Blue” in INDIA the age old cloth whitener.

The oriental magpie-robin is the national bird of Bangladesh.

It is mostly seen close to the ground, hopping along branches or foraging in leaf-litter on the ground with a cocked tail.

Males sing loudly from the top of trees or other high perches during the breeding season

Every Bird species is so unique in nature and It’s an endeavour on my part to explore this beautiful Planet of ours with varieties of Birds for the sake of common concern to conserve them and to make everyone of us aware to preserve the LOST NATURE for all of us to SURVIVE.

I am on my way…..A journey towards #LetsSaveABird

Dedicated to all Bird lovers and Photographers across the Globe.
